Lyrics
Okay, I've got the first draft of the Girl Power song posted now. I've never written a song with outside input before, so we'll see how this goes. I'm starting to understand a little better how Emily's been feeling. I'm not completely satisfied with what I've got, but it's the general idea of the direction I'm going. I hope I can make it sound good in time. I'm planning to set up a prodution schedule of my own, so that there's time for Nate to digitize the music, and for everyone to learn the song. I'm already getting some of Emily's criticisms as I type this.

I think it's coming along just fine. I'm sure those involved in the song will have a few suggestions but I thnk you've got some great ideas.
You betcha. The subtitles will fit the rhythm and rhyme scheme, but whatever comes out of your mouth will not. It will be funny. All the solo lines are spoken for that reason. During the "ALL sing" verses, you may have to sing in English though, or maybe just hum. Does that work for you?
You may notice I refered to Sidechic as an "expert shooter." I thought it would be funny, since she is sidekick to a minion (ie down the totem pole), that she could be a weapons master. Carry a couple guns, knives, whatever. And she's perfectly comfortable using them. In other words, she's the one who's actually QUALIFIED to be a crimefighter. Maybe even throw in some useful superpowers.
You mentioned your own production schedule. Email it to me and I'll incorporate it into mine. I have your overall deadlines right now pretty late in the schedule, like in June to have everything ready, but you can (and should) sharpen that up.
I intend to work backwards to create my schedule. Filming July 11... people probably need 6-8 weeks to learn the song... Nate needs to digitize it by May so they can have the music... I need my work finished a month before that so he can do his work... So April 11. I need the last month to work up the instrumentals, so I've got about six weeks from now to finalize the lyrics and the melody. Which means I really do need that script by the end of January, no later.
