I also like the word "superfluous." I also like the word "exacerbate." It means to make a situation worse. I use it in letters to Congress all the time but I don't usually SAY it. Yesterday on our way home, I used it in conversation - I was quite proud of myself. It's a bit of a mouthful to wrap your tongue around.
I'm also learning lots of vocab in my medical transcription course. I'm now up to the anatomy section, which you go through before starting on the sections that go through medical specialties individually - I did the disease processes tonight (like - acute: symptoms surface very severely in a short amount of time) and next is bones and joints.
