my day

My day was really weird.

First, we had an evacuation drill this morning that the large signs posted last week said would be over the weekend. It took 15 minutes to get everyone out of the building and over thirty minutes to get everyone back through security. And it was cold.

Second, I met a man who claimed to be a messenger from God. Yes, he was wearing white. However, he also carried a large staff and had lots of dangling talismans on it. Also, he was looking for the "Judiciary Review Board." We finally figured out that he was looking for the Judiciary Committee, which was us. Then, he announced that he was serving us with papers from God. He claimed that as of last Friday, we had declared war on God and that these papers were his [God's] response. These papers formed a 2 inch stack, partially typed and partially scribbled. At this point, I left the front office where this guy was and I happened to have unfortunately stepped into at the wrong time.

Third, we received a letter about a police shooting in Georgia two years ago. Contained in this letter was a video from the dashboard camera of a police cruiser. My coworkers and I had to watch this video several times to figure out what was happening, including the part where the guy was shot and killed. It was very somber and rather disturbing.

Fourth, we went to the hospital where Summer will be born. That was fun.

How was your day?
