Trina, I think that during this time of year there should be feelings of giving, happiness, charity, forgiveness, and that everyone should have an all around good time. Now, I can still debate about this Captain Chaos promotion thing and still have all of those qualities. If you can not, then I suggest you do not get involved. Also, say these phrases, the hurricanes caused captain chaos in Florida, and, our lives are in captain chaos. They do not make a whole lot of sense.
Jared, you made mention that the captain has sent his offspring out into the world. Let’s recap a little. In 1985 he helped bring seven and ½ people to this earth. Now in 2004 he has not sent seven and ½, or even eight into this world. Shouldn’t we at least wait until he sends all of them out into the world before we even consider a promotion? Also on that note, all of his offspring are in North America. Sure, a lot of his children have traveled to many reaches of the world, but they have all still ended up in North America. Why? Perhaps it is because the natives of the visited countries could not stand the people and sent them back to North America (where just about any loony is accepted). There have also never been any return visits. Is insanity unacceptable? That is what we are here to do. Make insanity acceptable.
You made mention about "chaos between the ears". Isn’t that dementia? Is that really due cause for a promotion? If you are a believer in the "thoughts lead to actions" phrase, Captain Chaos is no living proof of that. Especially if he is "still pure chaos between the ears". I think that he has to do something to earn this promotion. I am not saying that he is not getting anything accomplished. He has received Dad of the Year in my book, and World’s Greatest Dad. But a promotion in the Chaos industry? Let’s take another look before you cast your vote.
