Is the vote really in …….
“This promotion is contingent on a unanimous vote from the board of directors.”
Word from Corporate Headquarters ….
“My suggestion for the promotion is that we put a deadline on it and if everyone hasn't voted by that time the votes that are in make the decision. I also feel that a majority should be all that is necessary.”
Is this overriding the “unanimous” vote??
Also, was there a deadline set???
“The debate is over…
That comes out to five in favor (the majority count among nine voting), two against, one other, and one abstained. The ayes have it.”
A recount by a subcommittee came out with four in favor, one abstained, and four against.
My feeling on the question of my nickname is holding to tradition until a good reason is given for the change. The ones against have given reasons to not change. I suggested that we have one month, until January 21, 2005, for open discussion for the fun and joy of giving me some attention. At that time, for one week, all can vote and the majority count wins. There are nine divisions that get to vote.
