where is everyone?

Okay, so my post is up now. It's been a while since anyone has posted much, so what's the news, kids? And be ready for the omnipresent post-General Conference question: what talk stood out to you the most, and why?

General Conference is fun in DC. For the Saturday sessions, a bunch of random people from our ward all converge on the Capitol Hill building, a little tiny building in Southeast that doesn't even have a regular chapel - but they do have satellite there. Between sessions, we all go down the street to Eastern Market, the only open-air farmer's market inside the district. There's also the most awesome used bookstore right there as well - in October, Adam and I gave ourselves 15 minutes: we came out with almost 10 books and only spent $40. We're very excited for this coming Saturday. Last fall for the Sunday sessions, we went to the stake center and ate lunch between sessions on the temple grounds. This Sunday, we're going to the home of one of the other ward missionaries - they have satellite.
