Well, I'm moving to California. Instead of leaving March 29, I'm leaving February 17. The next few days will be a mad rush of packing. Dad and Mom are driving me down.

You can't just post that and not tell us more details. Where will you be living? Who with? What will you be doing? and how on earth will you pay for it all?
Where will you be working? and why are you going so early?

Also about the bookcase - any furniture that used to be mine that is currently at Mom and Dad's house is now belongs to THEM. I'm not reclaiming it ever, so talk to them about bookcases or whatever.
