That would be the amount of money we received today from cashing out my retirement funds from the Oregon legislature and NCSL, and that's AFTER they took out about $3200 in taxes. So we'll make it through the summer. I got letters a few days after sending in the forms saying that they had been received and it would take 90-120 days to process. That would put us getting the money sometime in July or August, so we were hoping the summer term financial aid wouldn't be too mucked up by the school (which does not have a good track record) and we'd get that by the end of this month because yet again, we were at the end of the financial rope.
But no. We got the retirement cash-out in May. At the beginning of May. In TEN DAYS. We're both literally a little weak in the knees from how fast this turned around. We are definitely saying thank-you prayers right now, and this Sunday, I will be writing a big fat tithing/fast offering check.
