observation of the day

Adam is in Florida for a few days - a couple of his high school buddies are getting married to each other tomorrow, and he's in the wedding. They're freaking out about all kinds of stuff, and he just called to say "I'm glad we're not doing any of that junk." LDS weddings are SO EASY compared to everyone else's! That said, my second observation of the day is for the next person to get married: just order the stupid announcements, even though it's more expensive. What you will spend in money, you will save in stress. They're not worth the hassle.

Wednesday was our 4-month anniversary of being engaged, and we spent it moving Adam out of the dorm. All of his belongings live with me now while he stays with his friend Corey until the wedding. We did go up to the observatory for a few minutes - where it all began ... the botanical garden is up on the hill as well. It's no longer buried in snow with the fountains half-frozen, like in January. It was warm and humid (even at 11 at night), so we could almost touch the scent of the roses.
