the great WHITE north

Greetings!

Jason and I spent this last weekend in Bassano, at his Dad's farm. Keyo (Jason's dad) was celebrating his 65th birthday, so we joined a large crowd of people for the weekend. The weather was beautiful, we ran and jumped, and got really tired after playing with all of the kids. We had a REALLY good time. Sunday, Monday, the weather was beautiful and sunny. Tuesday, Oregon-type skies, the threat of rain all day, but nothing fell until after dark. And then we slept, and woke up to snow! Wait, wasn't is supposed to be spring? What happened? There are some tulips, but who knows how long they'll last now. And apparently all the moisture in the spring comes from the melting snow, not rain. Yeehaw? I guess, but the basement gets awfully cold!

In other news, I did have the chance to go to the Cardston temple a few weeks ago (and Jason will be going in a few weeks). It was a lot smaller than I thought, but beautiful just the same. The biggest difference was going through several different rooms throughout the session, instead of just one like in Portland. It was really nice, and we plan on going again as soon as we can. And we'll definately go with Mom and Dad when they come this summer.

That's about all from here. I should finish cleaning up the kitchen, so I can start dinner for the missionaries tonight!

love,
Mindy and Jason
