I will admit, I was a little surprised by Trina's feeling that we (the children) need to make plans for Mom and Dad. I mean, this is a pretty personal decision, especially the WHAT and WHEN.
That said, I'm all for encouraging Mom and Dad (and the rest of us) to serve missions. It's a great experience.
