For starters, try moving home so you're not paying rent and get a job that you stick with. Quitting your job at random isn't going to get you very far.
My advice is to ignore some people's negativity about rent and work. Just because she moved back in with Mom and Dad a dozen times doesn't mean you have to. Decide what's right for you and do it.
And since you asked, I think a mission is a fabulous idea.
I didn't quit my job at random. Things weren't working out there and did give them two weeks notice. I'm going to be staying here, in California, until I leave. I've already talked to Mom and Dad about things.
